To go or not to go
So apparently I'm being awarded for something on campus. I don't even know what it is. I just got a notice saying I'll be getting an award from our school's department today at an Honors Convocation. It is suppose to be later today and I'm not even sure I want to go.
On one hand I feel I should go since I'm guessing it is a big thing and it seems like something I should do.
On the other hand, I really don't want to go either. I would rather be home trying to finish my economics paper that is due Thursday. Going to these awards things aren't my type of thing anyways. I mean I didn't even want to walk the stage when I graduated high school, but I did it for my parents. Parts of me feel I should be doing it again here.
I don't know though something about this just makes me really not want to attend.
Just trying air out my dilemma here. Sometimes it helps me to think out loud or in writing.

I think if you are receiving an award you should go, I know I would.

Well I did end up going. If nothing else, it was a nice little break from writing my paper. Just working on finishing that off now.

Re: To go or not to go
It is another thing to put on your resume after you get out of college if nothing else.

I would have been able to put it on my resume regardless.
Just says Scholarship Plus for Computer Information Systems with our school logo.
I guess you could say it is for being a good student with a good attitude and going above and beyond others? Still not quiet sure how else to put it, but yeah another thing to add to my resume as well.
