Switching Teams

OK.

So I'm playing along with Firedog and Charvel in a squad last night. Next spawn, I'm on the other team. Well all that work to win just wiped my new team out. I thought being in a squad prevented this. So, my new team got destroyed a couple of games and I leave.

I come back in a few hours and I'm on Trot's team. I'm squad leader cruising along doing ok, and next thing I know, I'm not a squad leader or on the same team anymore. Kind of killing my team spirit there.

Oh, I know, I was just bitchin'. I hate kickin my own ass because my win to loss ratio is taking a beating with stuff like this... and I like my team to win.

Well at the beginning of every round those 30 seconds you can switch teams and it wont stop you even if the teams are 50 to 1.

How do you switch teams in 2142? I wasn't aware that you could even control that.

You know the screen that ask you were you want to spawn? Top right there are 2 little boxes EU and PAC click on the one you want to switch to and you can. Unless you have less people then the other team or its not the beginning of a round.

The two tabs at the top of the screen where you chose your kit. On has EU and the other PAC. Hit the tab of the team that you want. When I get on I hit tab to see where you guys are at. If your on the other side I hit the other tab. In the middle of the game it wont let you change unless the other team has less players than your current one. Hope that helps.

you have less people then the other team or its not the beginning of a round.

Make sure the team you want to go to has less people. If you try to move and your side has less the server will put you back on the same team. I have even been penalized with -2 points for not looking beforehand before trying to switch during the game. It can be done though.

I had the same issue last night. Switched me once away from the squad, then again when I tried to go back. Twas horrible.

just a suggestion or make this a BD policy perhaps?? if you are a squad leader and your team is full, but not completely full with BD team members and there are other BD members, kick a person and invite the BD folks of course if they are on the same side... I mean if we want to kick some ass and get tight the only way to do is to keep playing together. Wouldn't you agree?
