Post patch: silencer vs. flash suppressor
What do you guys think about these two attachements now? I"m a big silencer guy, it's just so helpful in general to get more kills, but after the patch the flash suppressor offers many of the same benefits and less damage reduction. Have any of you switched what you consider your standard stealth loadout?

Re: Post patch: silencer vs. flash suppressor
Currently using the flash suppressor on any weapon I used to strap a silencer on.... The random deviation caused by the silencer is just that bad.
I'm also using it on some weapon I used to use the heavy barrel with. Think it'll pretty much become the standard for everyone pretty soon, just like the silencer + foregrip wasLast edited by chray00; 03-31-12 at 09:50 AM.

Re: Post patch: silencer vs. flash suppressor
Ah nice. I have been using it as well. Are you using the foregrip still or bipod or no attachment for those weapons?
In some recent post REMY was talking about using no attchement at all and liking it. So I'm trying that too to see if I can tell a difference but I do luv my my foregrip (if you know what I mean, LOL)."Political Correctness is a cancer to our Society and a Direct Threat to our free speech," The Oozish One

Re: Post patch: silencer vs. flash suppressor
Theres only one weapon I'm aware of that isnt crippled by the foregrip accuracy penalty, and its the l85. I dont use it on any other gun. If I was going to use a shorter range weapon such as the famas I may consider it, otherwise I would prefer to deal with more horizontal recoil (you have some control over it, contrary to random deviation induced by the attachment). I that case I don't use anything for that particular attachment slot

Re: Post patch: silencer vs. flash suppressor
how bad is the new forgrip penality?

Re: Post patch: silencer vs. flash suppressor
hard to say, the bonuses/penalties vary between all weapons. I've tried the foregrip with the l85, m16a3, pkp pecheneg, sg553, an-94, ak-74m, m27 and m416, and the accuracy penalty is simply unbearable to me on all the weapons, minus the l85, which seems unaffected by it.

Re: Post patch: silencer vs. flash suppressor
If the game plays again like it did tonight, im done. It was unplayable for me.
No hit reg to speak of. I unloaded a full mag on two guys i go the drop on (On more than one occasion), and not spray and pray but precise head shots on each and a full fucking mag did not kill either of them. I had to unload an entire mag into langraads head to take him out from 5 feet away. I dont know what happened but every encounter has been like this, and the people im playing against seem unaffected. I'll give it another try later, but if its as bad is it was im un installing the piece of shit.

Re: Post patch: silencer vs. flash suppressor
Every kill I have is hard fought it seems like; I know I emptied a whole clip into someone tonigt in a nice little circle, I was just laughing because there is no way he just one shotted me after that...no wait, he did.
OK, no foregrip!"Political Correctness is a cancer to our Society and a Direct Threat to our free speech," The Oozish One
