Re: Brink $20
I think it is, but it varies person to person. There's a lot of good with the game, but there are things about it that bother people. The DLC is coming out within a couple weeks and will only be free a limited time, plus they'll be doing a major update of the game that will fix a lot of the minor issues people have problems with. But personally the minor issues don't mean much in comparison to all the good qualities about the game.
If you like TF2 I would get it for sure, cause its got the same type of feel to the gameplay. If you like leveling up, customizing guns and characters then I think you'll have a good amount of fun with it. If you like the objective side of tf2 and css then you'll like it too, most of the maps consist of like 3-5 objectives you have to do so it'll keep you busy. If you're like me then you'll play through the game creating at least 4 characters(one for each class) that way you can play the game for different perspectives. All that by itself is worth $20.Last edited by Adretheon; 07-26-11 at 04:23 PM.

Re: Brink $20
Brink is on the list for games you can buy retail and activate in steam. No need to use CDs.

Re: Brink $20
This'll give you an idea of what I mean by 3-5 objectives. It's all pretty fast pace with only like 10mins to do each(sometimes less).
As far as the minor issues:
Scoping in lowers you sensitivity. If its low as is already it may make shooting difficult. There's some hit registration issues but that's supposed to be fixed in the update. Some of the maps can be pretty lop-sided, think Cbble, and there's so far only 8 maps(2 more coming in the DLC). You can't change your appearance on the fly, so if your in game and want to play with a Heavy instead of a Light then you have to leave the game to switch(same with different characters.) The game is kinda graphics heavy, but I don't think it should be a problem. If I can run it then most can. When a player goes down if he has the ability to shoot his secondary weapon from the ground(like L4D). The turrets pretty much suck in the game until you get the last upgraded one, or unless you have an operative that can manually use it. Nothing kills in one hit not even grenades. It takes at least 2 bullets to kill a guy, which to snipers sucks cause they're so used to putting a man down with a HS.
Those are what I hear about most, and the slight lack of mics in game. But that's because A) most people have them off cause it usually doesn't work in servers and B) people suck
These forums don't like it when I copy and paste...Last edited by Adretheon; 07-26-11 at 04:39 PM.
