    1. Purchase and install ARMA 2 and ARMA 2 Operation Arrowhead. The easiest way to do this is through Steam

    2. Load and Run ARMA 2, Disconnect and run ARMA 2 Operation Arrowhead then disconnect

    3. Download and install DayZ Commander
    Home õ DayZ Commander

    4. Go to updates and update all files + the map that you plan on playing

    5. Do a server search for TeamPlayerGaming

    6. Connect and have fun

    • Connect to any DayZ server and do the following to get your GUID so you can paste it here.

    OR

    • Connect to our DayZ server (which you will be kicked for not being on the whitelist) so that we can pull your GUID from the logs

This allows us to further investigate the person requesting access to our servers. This ensures EVERYBODY has a good time and is not grieved by douchebag hackers and trolls. Don't try and hide any SteamIDs, because we will find them.. Trust me.

If you have any VAC bans on record, you will not be allowed access to our servers. We have a very strong stance towards VAC bans. A VAC ban = Excommunication from TPG property... ALL of it.

All of this is to provide a safe-haven gaming experience for everybody. I know it sucks, but blame the douchebag hackers. Not us.

#1 Do not spam, or monopolize the channels
TeamSpeakís purpose is to be a channel of communication for the team; itís meant to enable coordination, calls, and team oriented discussion. It is not meant to be a place for you to spout off about a kill spree for 30 seconds, or that marksman headshot you got, or your triple kill with a frag. Those are nice, and fine in moderation, but they most likely arenít relevant to the objective. We do not need to hear about your every kill or death.

If youíre going to use TeamSpeak, and you should, you need to bind a push to talk key. We arenít going to ask anymore, this is now mandatory. We donít need to hear everything going on in your house, or anything that comes out of your mouth (or in for that matter), or you mashing your keyboard. Bind a key, learn to use it, and control your spam. Anyone suspected of using voice activation instead of push to talk, will now be subject to kicks in game until youíve bound your keys. It will be treated exactly the same as standard mic spam, which will also be punished in the same fashion as other games we host.PLEASE DO NOT BIND YOUR KEY TO THE SAME AS IN-GAME VOIP!

    #2 Courtesy is a must
You got fragged; OK, were you capturing a control point or arming an Mcom? No? Then it isnít relevant to the team, and we donít need to hear about it on TeamSpeak. TeamSpeak isnít the place for you to moan and complain about things in game, whether it be dying, hit registration, the number of snipers there are ripping people apart, or how your team's being destroyed. Weíre all here to have fun; having to listen to a negative nancy, or a sore loser, really does a number on the general mood of a team. If you want to whine or carry on, do it without your transmit key toggled.

Racist or bigoted comments will not be tolerated. You will be warned and then removed from the server. It doesn't matter if soldiers in Vietnam called the enemy 'gooks'. That term has no place in our servers, nor does any other derogatory term for any race, religion or creed.

    #3 Weíve never played Ďdibsí
Just because we have a team wide chat channel, does not mean you can Ďcallí assets. We operate under first come, first served; if you donít get to that tank before someone else does, it isnít yours. Calling an asset holds no water here, and is entirely meaningless.

#4 TeamSpeak is NOT a recruitment channel
If you want to go play Vietnam, then go play Vietnam. Recruit your buddies over Steam and xfire, and go play. Do not get on TeamSpeak to talk about, and recruit people to go play ĎNam. This is the same as advertising other servers, and stealing population from our servers. It isnít cool, and it isnít tolerated. This is everyoneís official warning: if you persist in coming onto TeamSpeak to recruit players to play elsewhere, it WILL be met with harsh punishment.

The M24 has a built-in rangefinder in the sense that you can use the mil-dot scope to get a quick estimate of your range to a target. You can also use the mil-dots to adjust for your zero (EG, if your target is at 100 meters but you're zeroed to 300 meters, drop one mil-dot from center of mass) and to calculate a lead on a moving target. Once you learn how to use the mil-dots, you will never want to use a scope without them again.

The basic formula is height of target in meters x 1000/Mils read = distance to target in meters.

So if you assume that your target is, say, about six feet (A little less than two meters), and he reads, let's say, six mils, then you divide 1.8 by (1000/6), which comes out to about 300. This means he is about 300 meters away, which in turn means that, with a 300 meter zero, you can place the crosshairs over your target and fire and reliably hit your target.

The formula for leading a moving target is a bit more difficult because you need to be more familiar with the rifle you are using. Specifically, you need to have a "feel" (since most people are not capable of calculating the time of flight for a bullet in their head on the spot) for how long your round will be in the air after being fired before reaching the approximate point of (intended) impact.

The formula for leading a moving target in a mil-dot scope is:

Time of flight (In seconds) x speed of target (feet per second) = lead from center-mass in feet

I'm using feet here because it is what I was taught for calculating to mils and I don't want to figure out a new formula:

    ((Lead in feet x 12) - 6)/Range (In hundreds) x 3.5

This comes out to your lead in mils.

Now, I'm not sure what the time of flight is for the CZ at any range, or even what round it fires, nor am I sure what muzzle velocity the DMR fires at. But if we're shooting an M24 at, say, 700 meters, then the time of flight should be about 1.07-1.08 seconds.

Take 4 feet per second for a patrolling guard, and 700 meters for his range, and 1.07 for our round's flight time.

    1.07 x 4 = 4.28

    To calculate that to mils:

    ((4.28 x 12) - 6)/(7 x 3.5))

    (51.36 - 6)/24.5

    45.36/24.5 = 1.85

So you eyeball where 1.85 mil-dots is, in other words just before the second one to the left (If your target is walking to the right), and place that over the right-edge of your target. Now you have a proper lead. Fire and, as long as your target doesn't stop or change directions in that 1.07 second, he should run right into your bullet.

Is there any reason to use M24 over CZ 550?

I can't find the server when searching for TeamPlayerGaming, TeamPlayer, TPG, TeamP, anything. Caps have been fucked with too. Using DayZ Commander.

Now I am getting "Bad Version" errors. Do I need to install all of the mods in DayZ Commander? I didn't see where to download maps. Hm.

    Re: DayZ - How To

You should just have to update Arma and Dayz; Chernarus is native to DayZ. Have just noticed that the Arma 2 is up to 100697 now, but that shouldn't make a difference.

Have you played DayZ before? If not, then need to run Arma 2 and OA first.

    DayZ - How To
    #10

    Re: DayZ - How To

I've run them both. Fresh install, but have turned them on. I've checked versions on the server and in DayZ Commander and they match. If I open OA and attempt to connect via game, it seems to work. If I use Commander, it seems to fail.
