Re: CS: GO is set for release on August 21, 2012 for $15
Should be pretty fun for the sole fact that we will have all the old regulars back on again.

I believe you are correct. It will do more damage to you. I'm not sure if its double but I know I died pretty fast the other night running into 2 molotov's.
Speaking of molotov's
When the release does come out and everyone gets CS:GO. When we are playing on the TPG server and say "I" throw one at short and then the whole team can just run right through it and not get damaged from it.. In my opinion that is kinda cheap.
Just wondering what we are going to do about this on TPG servers?

Well. Both sides have incendiaries... so theoretically it could go both ways. They are what, 800 bucks? Expensive to get a whole team to spam. My guess is the gameplay will work itself out, but may require CT's to be more handy with flashbangs and play more passive.
My honest guess is we won't see a dramatic change in gameplay.

They're $850, and I really hope that they are not restricted right off of the bat. In my opinion, they should open up some new plays for both sides, since you can't just rush willy-nilly.

or think of it as strategic team maneuvers with more communication than now.

Re: CS: GO is set for release on August 21, 2012 for $15
Example: Dust2 when your wanting to do a rush B side. Throw some molotovs in tunnels.. Those things came mess up a strat fast. Especially if you threw a molotov in B tunnels and also threw some molotovs lower B double doors.. when the T team is wanting to push B.. then cant b/c of molotov's and the play get altered to lower B to Short A and theres a molotov there.. It turns into a slow play or a busted strat for T's.. When this happens it lets CT's at cat to get the the position to cover lower B from cat and also have Mid covered.
This will be a big change. Like I said though only one person from T's or CT's can throw a molotov and then back off and let the rest of the team run right through the molotov with no damage. Kinda sucks IMO.
Personally I just can't wait to see how the game play is going to be like in CS:GO compared to CS:S... It's going to be very interesting and very fun!
I think there will be a change of guns for allot of players.
The galil will be a very good gun for the T's to be using other than the AK and its only $2000. You can actually burst up to 4 shots without the bullet spread going anywhere. That will be interesting to see who chooses the Galil over the AK.
I've also noticed that the AUG and the SIG are very good guns in CS:GO. I've actually used these 2 guns allot. They are expensive but very effective.
Also think that the there will be allot of players that have a hard time with the AWP. It is very good "BUT" when at long range once you shoot and peak back out quick and shoot again I have noticed that it is a tad harder to focus on exact aim at long range due to the focusing of the gun (the blurr effect the AWP has while scoped now). It seems the crosshairs are on the guy but the crosshairs actually move slightly while moving unlike CS:S. CS:S has no movement in the crosshairs while moving. CS:GO the crosshairs bounce up down and even sideways when moving.

Re: CS: GO is set for release on August 21, 2012 for $15
I've posted this elsewhere but I agree 100% with these two points. I am finding myself buying the Galil over the AK because over the course of 3 rounds that is an extra Galil: 2700-2000=700x3 -> 2100 dollars saved using instead of an AK. Whereas the AK has has, in my opinion, been crippled. When you get the rhythm of the one shots off of the AK then it can be a beast no doubt, but the spray capability is gone -- absolutely and utterly destroyed in my opinion... making it a liability in close range situations involving more than one enemy. You simply cannot reliably switch targets in crouched full-auto mode, or at least I haven't been able to yet.
The Galil, on the other hand, is more accurate on the close range and medium range, has about the same damage as the m4, and you can actually have a standing chance if you go full auto.
The AUG and the SIG are most definitely AWESOME. Head bust, head bust, head bust. I think this is going to give real snipers a challenge when coming up against what used to be a mid-range weapon, but now can be your own mini-scout if you are careful. You know, we could experiment as such if we could all damn organize for a pug night on the server.Last edited by Affinity; 06-15-12 at 09:06 AM.
