Thread: Civilization Done TTP Style

Hey to you TTP players that are Civilizations fans. Next weekend I am thinking because it is a long weekend we should get an epic battle raging. I say Saturday night we get as many of us together and play out a game which can last a handful of hours. Start it say 9:30 CST and go through the night into Sunday morning and then we can sleep all day Sunday and recover Monday?

If you want to play, let me know via PM. I'll keep a list of players here and if you have any suggestions post em. If next weekend doesn't have enough interest because of the holiday weekend we can postpone it just thought the long weekend provides us with a nice buffer for sleep.

Is civilizations fun never played it. Love games like that though. I got real deep into Medeival War series. Great game as well.

Tell me about civilizations, arent there several? Sid Meirers right?

We play Civ 4 with the Beyond the Sword Expansion. I have had the game 4 days, and 2 of those i stayed up all night playing. The best deal i found so far was from www.driect2drive.com. $45 for the game and expansion.

If my computer is here by then, count me in!

Civilizations is a Strategy game that is sort of like an RPG where you are given control over a civilization and you must play the role of leader. You must keep your cities happy and growing, keep up foreign affairs, make sure your army is up to snuff(that is if you want it to be) and use your taxes wisely spending them on your treasury, scientific research, espionage and building your nation's culture.

It can take a long time to complete a game or you can change the settings to speed up the process.

The last Civ-style game I played for very long was Alpha Centauri, which is hella fun. I might have to pick up this newfangled fourth one you guys are talking about.

Smoke, i play Medieval Total War as well. We should try and get some people together and play a game with that... THAT could be some fun!!!
