THERES GOING TO BE A TROPICO 3 :10 :10 :10 :10

Yes i am THAT into Tropico that i cannot wait for the new game, its coming out in September unfortunately . Some of the Features:

* The avatar is a special customizable unit that the player creates and controls;
* Avatars can be male or female;
* The player is able to customize the avatar's face, hairstyle, facial hair, hat, clothing, and additional accessories;
* The avatar travels across the island on foot or with his limo;
* The avatar is able to speed up constructions, inspect buildings, address the people from the balcony of his palace, calm down a protest, or go on a diplomatic mission abroad;
* The avatar may also engage in combat and personally shoot down rebels. If he is unlucky enough to be wounded, he can retreat to his palace to recuperate.

supposedly there are going to be a bunch of industries, one of the newest they have on the website is Petrol, a timeline editor to add your own events and some other stuffs. I'd post pictures but too lazy to get them hosted and i'm not hotlinking but it appears it going to be a cartoonyish 3d and looks nice compared to the first

Yes, there will be many such events in the game.

Various crops require different humidity and soil conditions. The Caribbean winds spread the effects of industrial pollution. There will be various disasters such as Earthquakes and Tropical Storms, but they will function differently than the disasters in the original Tropico. Players will be able to play and create both scenarios without any disasters and disaster-themed scenarios.

Factions will express their major concerns by petitions. Individual people are able to protest, and if their demands are not met they may even become rebels and take arms against the government. El Presidente is finally able to personally meet the protesters and calm them down in person.

Goods export prices change over time. For instance a lucrative trade agreement will adjust the prices of processed goods in the player's favor, but the rumors of a mad cow disease will lower the price of beef. As said before, Oil prices generally go up over the years.
Like in the original Tropico, there is no general mechanic for imports.

I cannot wait til more information comes out, and glad to see its not going to be anything like the BS Tropico 2

arggh almost a month away still til the New tropico. The waiting is sooo long, especailly since its been forever since a proper sequel came out for the game
