Thread: @swapteam improvement

I very well might be retarded, but here's something that bugs me while using the @swapteam command. I can't see a list of players while I'm typing it out.

What if the @swapteam command brought up a list of numbered players and it was a 2 step process.

@swapteam<enter>

• 1. bob
• 2. T.Pain
• 3. Hammer
• 4. Screech
• 5. Mike-D
• 6. Puffy
• 7. Mary
• 8. Paul
• 9. Peter
• ...
• 22. steve

Enter player numbers separated by a space: 4 17<enter>

I have a hard time remembering the players names, and in cases where they use weird letters and stuff, it is complicated. Is this doable?

The current command line is cool, and I love the command, but I thought this might improve usability.

Consultant, while in menu, you can still hit tab to view the players.

why do you have to type it out at all?

isn't there a menu entry for swapping players? just like kicking or banning?

if not, there should be.

under the players command in the admin menu press 9(next) and second page has swap players and change players team, Press 1 select first player from list, Press 2 select second player from list then press the swap and done.

console commands can be quicker if the names aren't funky but this is a source game so...

To each his own, that's why I make both kinds.

GUIs (menus) are good for exploring when you're not quite sure how to do what you want to do or there are many options to figure out. Command lines are good (fast) when you know exactly what you want to do and you don't have to type too much.

I can press admin, 1, 3, 5 faster than I can press ~la_admin ban player player1223344.

3 or 4 keys to kick, rather that 20+
