    master looter and fairness

so today i formed a raid for a world boss we all agreed on master looter but master looter only lets you hand out and there is no /roll /random 100 or so on command to let you do an emote roll or whatever you call it so i'm stuck on a way to do this hopefully the brain trust here at tpg can figure something else

my only idea is some sorta outa game dice game/sytem but how to know the right people are rolling and how to know who rolls and what there roll is i'm lost

a few of us did that 1 raid with the infernal one (whateverthefuckitscalled) on saturday. apparently the good loot is auto assigned. The system automatically gave gear to the people that could use it. apparently it does a hidden roll system for everybody that could use it, then it assigns it to the winning player so only the 1 person can loot it.

other things like the biometric crystal alloy and patterns were rolled for just like usual.

    Re: master looter and fairness

I used to play SWG all the time, and even at the end of its life I always did a roll in game and whoever wanted the items would roll on them. Now that was a fair system for all who ran. SWTOR im sure is different on the rolls, but really, if you play the game alot eventually your gonna get what your looking for and hoping drops for you. By the time SWG ended I would go on runs just for the fun and not the items cause I already got every item that run could produce and would just give the item away to whoever needed it anyway. I realize this is not a solution, and everyone wants the uber items, but really if you plan on playing the game for along time it really shouldn't make much of a difference who gets the drop cause eventually you are going to get what you need. Be it from a run or a guildie, you will still get it.

yes but if i'm going to become a raid leader i want to be fair to the group thats why i start out with these world boss runs trying to learn and make a name for myself as a fair and competent raid leader at the same time

Yep thats understandable, I used to run a couple of guilds when I played and it was not too hard to make a name for yourself as a raid leader in SWG. The best thing I can tell you to do to make a name for it is do every run you can and master the runs and then take nothing for yourself and give everything to others, now the means on which it is decided on who gets what, is sounding like it is much more difficult in TOR. In SWG there was dice that you could roll and winner takes there pick. Unfortunately I can't get TOR yet and afford to play it, or I am sure I could come up with a fair way of doing drops, but at this point I don't know what the game has in it that can be used as dice or another means of picking.

I have a good friend that runs a guild on a different server then the one yall are on. I will shoot him a email and see what he does for raids and how he goes about being fair,....but I have a feeling he is gonna say something similar as I did, like give it to whoever needs it and has run the most runs with you first then take whats left for yourself after.
Email sent will get back to you on it probly tomarrow night late, I am headed outta town tomarrow for work but will be back late at night.

Moat guilds use a dkp or loot council system to decide who gets loot. Normal mode operations in swtor award loot automatically but world bosses and everything else allows you to masterloot...or use the in game system.
