Re: Sorry but she should be gone.
I'm not assuming that they had the accident because they were here illegally. I'm simply saying that were they not here, it would have been physically impossible for them to have been in the accident.
I'm terrified.
The laws can be bent, sure, but the problem is as long as the cases that garner media attention are solved by bending the rules, the odds of people getting off their ass and fixing the underlying problem (the fact that the laws are outdated and useless) are pretty slim. This girl's case hit the airwaves and an exception was made for her because of the tragedy that occurred. Ok fine, I can live with that. Still, the laws themselves need to be reviewed and changed, and until a high-profile case like this is handled exactly by rule of messed-up law, few people will acknowledge that things are wrong enough that they need to be changed. Instead, they'll sit on their couch feeling great about themselves and the country because that girl got to stay.
It's entirely possible that if the girl were deported based upon the rule of law (or at least the decision was made to do so) that the high-profile nature of the case would have made people complain enough for the laws to actually be reviewed and revamped in a useful way. We don't need exceptions to laws, we need laws that are actually useful and relevant....and sometimes, unfortunately, 1 person has to suffer in the cause of the "bigger picture."

I was going to respond to these last night, but...You need to do some research. Brazil has one of worst child sex trafficking records, second only to Thailand.
Pissed off..upset, call it what you will. You posted the topic, so it stands to reason that you're upset about it. That's a bit repugnant in itself.
Neither here nor there.

Re: Sorry but she should be gone.
I dont post many things because it pissed me off. 99% of what i post is because i feel its worth a discussion. I dont live like you do driven by my emotions. Funny part about your comment is people who know me in real life know it would take time to find a more passive person then me.

Re: Sorry but she should be gone.
I'm just wondering... why this is up... this topic was clearly to get a rise out of people....
Deportation is definitely a bad topic to talk about in forums...
You get bad reactions... I'm looking at this and yeah I'm already seeing high drama which is going to cause tension.... this wasn't even informative with out a huge disgust factor...
