Thread: Seattle Cop punches a girl in the face...

Mixed emotions on this one. First, resisting arrest is never going to end well for you. Aiding in a resist of arrest is equally foolish.

How come the crowd was quick to be all over the cop once he punched the girl? Why not voice their angry opinions at fellow retards resisting arrest?

Could have been handled better IMO, but I'm not sure if it was excessive force.

well your not supposed to hit girls but i guess its kinda understandable but i'm suprised this cop didnt pull out the mace or pepper spray

I would love to have seen the start of the thing.

Jaywalking is against the law and it is a low that is put in place for public safety. We can all speculate as to what took place before the camera started rolling. The bottom line is that if you resist arrest then things are not going to get better for you.

If a cop approached me for jaywalking then I would tell him that I was sorry for doing it. If he wrote me a citation I would sign it and go on my way. If I did not agree with it I would go to court. Getting lippy, cursing and being a general ass will not improve your situation.

As for punching the other girl in the face. She did reach for him but I am not so sure that was the right call. I bet this guy gets at minimum a suspension.

i've been guilty of punching a girl back in jr high sometimes when you get angry you just dont think and react

What some tend to forget is that is almost a natural human reaction to fight back.

Flight or fight right?


One should not resist arrest but when a person is being handled natural human reactions come out.

When I watch this a part of me wishes that crowd would have thrown that officer to the ground. NOT KILL HIM
but just knock him on his ass.

Then more cops will come and maybe more people will take to the streets then you have a full on RIOT!

Citizens outnumber cops....

My life would have to be in jeopardy before I punched a girl, let alone in the face. Fire the fucker.

I would even endorse the taser in this case as she was resisting arrest. But not punching her in the face.

Right because an outnumbered cop that has an increasingly rising tense situation while trying to subdue a perp and reacts to a perceived threat needs to be mobbed by a crowd..that's real responsible.
