Thread: Firing Squad Execution

    Firing Squad Execution

First firing squad execution in 14 years was held over night in Utah. The guy was supposedly grandfathered in where he got to choose his style of execution, new law states that execution should be done by lethal injection. Since he killed people by the use of a gun, he went for execution by gunfire as well.

Primitive and brutal - but also elegant, simple, and inexpensive as well.

Yeah. Except how many years wa he in deathrow eating three meals a day?

Also I heard on the room there were four rooms to watch from. I am all for capital punishment. But if one if my family was murdered I'd say kill him but I don't think I could bring myself to watch someone die.

I hardly think there's anything "elegant" about shooting a defenseless man.
Still, it's cheap and it gets the job done.

Also steak, lobster, 7-Up, apple pie and vanilla ice cream for a last meal sounds pretty damn good.

Doesn't matter to me how it happens as long as it does.

Consciously killing a human is wrong under ANY circumstance, and it's even WORST when it's done by a government (in my opinion). Government is supposed to set the example for society. It's hypocritical of them to tell you NOT TO KILL, but then do the very same thing as punishment.
head to head, chest to chest, which country is the very best? and in the land of rape and honey, you pray.

Except that the government doesn't tell us not to kill, but not to murder. In fact in more than a few circumstances the government either allows, or encourages killing if its done for what society believes is a good purpose. The military kills, police officers kill, even citizens kill in states where castle doctrines allow it, all with government support. So I wouldn't call it hypocritical.

As for whether it's wrong or right, that's a personal moral belief and I respect your view on it, although I also disagree.
