    Question: Full Disk Encryption

What's everyone using in the enterprise? I'm curious.

Also, if you have experience with more than one, good or bad, I'd love to hear thoughts and impressions.

We used Mobile Armor for a while, but it was terrible so we switched to Bittlocker. Mobile Armor's only advantage was that it worked with XP. Once we went to Vista, we went with Bittlocker. Mobile Armor had a terrible admin console and installation bricked several laptops. Bittlocker's administration is built into Active Directory and is basically free with the OS.

I should also add that my info may be dated since we don't use any now that we are an all thin client shop.

Thanks Gumby. I was pretty sure I'd see a response from you as well.

We're engaged in FDE project atm and I am so far unimpressed. Was curious to know what others have/are using.

We use WinMagic SecureDoc at my employer, who shall remain unnamed.

We use bitlocker. Its a pain and takes forever during imaging but it gets the job done. Of course, it doesn't help on any of the Apple Mac systems

That's what we're using too. What's your thoughts on that WileE?

I have used a program called TrueCrypt to encrypt parts of drives and I like it a good bit. I believe I read it also supports encrypting entire drives. It is worth looking into, imo.

Does TrueCrypt have an enterprise solution?

I've used that personally, but I don't think they have an enterprise solution. Shame too.
