A little overboard?
Ok, a LOT overboard. Firstly, I am not even sure I want to be unbanned. That is how turned off I am. I have been playing this game over ten years (since CS betas) off an on and have dealt with many of a punk player and admin.
Today I was playing, and thought hey, I found a decent server. I liked almost everything except FF being off, but with the way you guys ban people for flashing (read in forums here..) then I see why you can't possibly have FF on.
I don't know, i just wanted to point out how ridiculous your policies are. Sure, I can appreciate hard core rules, but when I get slayed for "not being with my team..." and there is an enemy right above me, that just smacks of wanting to hurry the round up and the admin being upset that he is already dead. I mean, don't you guys ever enjoy watching someone sneak around and clean up the rest of the enemy by himself, or does it always have to be gung-ho everybody go A or everybody go B?
And sure, I said "whatever", and that got be banned. Well again I say, whatever. I think you did me a favor, not getting me too attached to your server and then banning me. Of course I am going to be a little annoyed if I just got slayed with no warning and I don't think I deserved it in the first place. I am not a brown noser. If that is what you want, then I am glad I am out of there. But slaying and banning JUST to make a point.. that is just childlike. Only a kid would have absolutly no tolerance. You could have said that's the rules, like'm or be gone, we could have discussed the misunderstanding, but no, we like power and to abuse it!
Now look, I didn't come here to be disrespectful and all that crap, just speak my mind. I hope at least one of you take me seriously and can recognize I am right. That just might make someone else's day a little better if you take it easy on the server. I realize you take it serious, but we the players came to have fun, not be pushed around. And I can't have fun playing your way, which I can dig, if I am being pushed around.
Peace,

A steam ID and map might help.

Re: A little overboard?
Welcome to the server, I slayed and banned you. Your team was continually running around doing their own thing. The bomb would be A site, and 2 people would be camping B. I died, saw you away from the bomb, and slayed you. I then warned you to follow the call, and instead of saying sure, I'm new, or anything at all to let me know that you understand you reply with "whatever", so I issued a 1 hour ban hoping you would show up here. We run a tamplay based server. We make and follow calls, and support our team. If that is the way you like to play then feel free to read through our rules, and rejoin the server after the ban expires. If doing your own thing is what you prefer then feel free to keep looking for a server to call home.

Re: A little overboard?
So, get on to those two people. I wasn't one of them. I had my reasons for being where I was at, and it was in support of my team. I have to stay alive to support them, and that means looking up and catching the CT offgaurd above me as I was doing when I was slayed. Slaying me because I was "a person" in B without finding out why is just crazy. That is taking out on me what others do. And no, I am not down with that, I have more self respect than that.
Let me ask you a question, If on dust 2 as a terrorist would it be acceptable for me to go B while everyone else goes A while I make a distraction? That is what I call teamplay, and I wonder if you can appreciate it.
I could go on and on about how people were blocking the jump into the window and other stuff as to why I didn't even know there was an admin on to enforce rules. But being slayed is not acceptable in my book to find out there is one on, unless I am team-killing, raging, blocking, or doing other disruptive stuff and deserve it.Last edited by Strike harder; 06-26-10 at 01:43 PM.

Re: A little overboard?
The simple answer to your question is NO. As I said, go read the rules. If the call is to go A then you go A. If you want to go B, and your team feels that you need someone to go B as a distraction then yes. However, if the bomber is trying to plant at A how exactly are you helping him if you are in B site? Can you kill the guy that is trying to kill him from arches, mid, or roof? No, you can't even see those people from B. As I said, go read the rules, then maybe you will understand.

Re: A little overboard?
And to address your complaints of teammates that seem to have no clue the update and sale has brought in a bunch of new players to the game, and thus our server as well. I was the only admin on at the time, and doing my best to play and admin the servers at the same time. I can't see everything.

Re: A little overboard?
I agree with the OP. I'm sorry admins but you can't read peoples thoughts. sure communication solves this but what if the person doesn't have a mic, what if the person saw someone going over there, what if they are going about a strategy that they have done before what if......etc etc etc.
I fully understand "teamplay" but if the whole team rushes to one spot (go for the obj or die trying) what kind of strategy is that? Brains is just as important as muscle.
man i needed to get this off my chest. i have seen this happen too many times. This is expected on a pub server though, seeing as how mics aren't a requirement.
