Thread: Dont know who, Dont really care

So this guy bigdog comes in our forums (TEAMHAF) two weeks ago and posts some useful information about trackers for server traffic. Unfortunately some meathead noob from our neck o the woods mouths off and steps out of line and was pretty rude. So last night I'm playing in TTP BF2 server with 3-4 other hafers, we're havin a good time runnin n gunnin, nothing out of the ordinary. A player we're familiar with, "Ballsyone" noticed me and gave me a shout out sayin "hey Mo wassup!!" "where you hafers been?"

I answered his question in the following manner:

Hey Balls sup man, we got our server back up and runnin, just out trying to draw attention to it"

thats it, period.

next thing I know I'm kicked, being told not to spam our server on TTP

wow....

so I wait my one minute, reconnect to the server and ask:



I get no answer after about 20-30 seconds so I asked the exact same question. No mouthing, no smacktarding, just a simple straightforward question. I get kicked a second time.

So now that the smoke is comin out my ears I decide to go to www.texasteamplayers.com and drop a line, except www.texasteamplayers.com didn't work. (At the time of this thread the link worked but I typed it in my addy bar last night and continued to get IE error. I found out this morning to add the /forums to get here.)
So knowing I'm most likely getting kicked or banned for coming in a third time and asking who kicked me I spoke my peace:






And now sure nuf I'm banned, oh well. I'm not concerned with the ban, I'm a little pissed I vouched for someone from this team in our forums and took a knife between the shoulder blades for it.

Bigdog, looking through your forums it appears as if you carry some weight here. If so you might look into this.

Let's get a few things straight, momoney. This is not TeamHAF territory, and I don't know how things work in-game in your house......but we gotta clear a few things up here.

#1. I appreciate you coming in, and trying to resolved your issue. The admin involved was NOT aware of me coming to your site, so I can't blame them for reacting against you advertising your HAF server. We have 50+ something admins, across 4 games and 6 public servers. Few, if any of them have any idea what 2142topsites.com is doing, and who they are talking to. TTP made it....but that doesn't mean every admin here is aware of it, TeamHAF, or you. In-game server name-dropping is quite different than in-forums, and me, in your forums, was purely conversational, in order to illustrate that I AM bigdog of texasteamplayers, that we are legitimate members of the BF2 and 2142 communities, and to give me some street cred in encouraging you to sign up for the topsite we created for everyone. NOT to draw your players off your servers and into ours.

You saying "we got our server up" is interpreted as an advertisement for users to leave our server, and go to yours. You can't blame an admin for kicking you.....can you? Honestly? 100% justifiable to kick you.

#2. You asked for the name of an admin. We don't name admins, we don't wear admin tags, and we don't give out names of admins who did what and when. That's admin business, and part of our rules system for admins. It's a means to prevent them from abusing their admin status to intimidate other players, as well as to prevent players from abusing them in-game. You got no answer, because there is no answer to "who is the admin". Ever, on any TTP servers. Persistently asking the question....even twice....is enough to further justify you being kicked, again, 100%.

#3. You "came in to speak your piece".......

Really? is that what you did? becuase according to your screenshot, you said:

IT WOULD BE NICE IF YOUR FUCKING WEBSITE WORKED. GROW THE FUCK UP NOOB ADMIN....

So.....at that point....it is irrelevant what you want to say, who you are, who you know, or what the problem is. Now, you have thrown yourself into the abusive player category, and likely were banned. "Grow up".....you're telling us to grow up? Look at yourself. Look what you did, on your own, without the admin SAYING A WORD. You exploded, you called the admin a noob, you insulted us as a whole for our website being down ("go figure"). Fact of the matter is, we converted our phpbb forums into SMF, to integrate into our new joomla site. I said we were going through these problems ON YOUR FORUMS At TEAMHAF.

If you're not "concerned with the ban" then we aren't either. If seeing all this isn't worth your time, then you playing on our servers isn't worth our time.

You asked me to look into it, and I did. I'll be doing the same on your forums at HAF. Thinking that you can drop my name, and that's going to allow you to talk down to our admins like they are your bitch was the wrong thing to do. I'm not asking for an apology, but you can surely understand how I can't blame our admins for doing their jobs. No one gets to act like that on TTP property. Not me, not admins, not clans, not reservists, not regulars, and not newcomers.

As per your own screenshots and recollection of this event, you are in the wrong. It started off as a simple misunderstanding, perhaps......but that in no way legitimizes your actions after the initial kick. You overreacted, and you insulted the admin, you insulted the website/community, and you got yourself banned.

Like I said, all I did was answer a question from another player who asked where we had been. I in no way "Spammed" anything. If you guys are so sensetive to other clans "advertising" in your server that you kick a friendly for something like this then this is definitely not a place I want to hang out in.

I just tried www.texasteamplayers.com from a friends computer and got the same error untill I added the /forums on to it so I'd say there is most definitely an issue with your site.

Damn was I wrong about you. You are an ass. I'll find somewhere else to play and I'll ask that you dont spam your advertisements for trackers in our forums again.

we got the screenshots, and your testimony. If HAF is going to bust TTP for booting you out, and then booting you out again, and then banning you......then HAF is run by amateurs.
