Week 8 BCS Standings
2011 NCAA College Football Polls and Rankings for Week 8 - ESPN
Bama and LSU separated by mere hundredths of a point. I know this will drastically change once LSU and Bama play, then again when the Sooners play Oklahoma State at the end of the year. Man what a race.1 LSU 7-0
2 Alabama 7-0
3 Oklahoma 6-0
4 Oklahoma State 6-0
5 Boise State 6-0
6 Wisconsin 6-0
7 Clemson 7-0
8 Stanford 6-0
9 Arkansas 5-1
10 Oregon 5-1
11 Kansas State 6-0
12 Virginia Tech 6-1
13 Nebraska 5-1
14 South Carolina 6-1
15 West Virginia 5-1
16 Michigan State 5-1
17 Texas A&M 4-2
18 Michigan 6-1
19 Houston 6-0
20 Auburn 5-2
21 Penn State 6-1
22 Georgia Tech 6-1
23 Illinois 6-1
24 Texas 4-2
25 Washington 5-1
On another note, who the fuck in the AP (media poll) is still voting Boise State #1 over everyone else?

Re: Week 8 BCS Standings
Thing is with Boise St, they are only this high because all of the teams they have played, are knocks offs. Those knock offs play all the big time BCS teams early in the season before conference play starts. The BCS doesn't look ahead to future games on the schedule. Once conference play for the BCS conferences progresses, Boise will drop. I will say this, I'd be pissed if somehow LSU, Bama, Oklahoma, Oklahoma state all wound up losing 1 game, and one of them gets left out of the title game because of Boise......I'd take any of those teams one loss over Boise....although Oklahoma doesn't exactly have a strong case for playing well in big time bowl games.

Re: Week 8 BCS Standings
im a little shocked that Wisconsin is ranked behind Boise. I just dont understand how you can only play 1 big game a year and then just roll over your weak conference and be considered a national threat.

Re: Week 8 BCS Standings
Wisconsin's schedule looks just as bad if not worse than Boise's up to this point.
Wisconsin 2011 Schedule - Badgers Home and Away - ESPN
Nebraska is their only quality win. I'm not saying they won't be good, but the media is acting like they are primed to take the field and win the title.
As for Boise, they can suck it. Every year it's the same argument, "Look they have ONE quality win against a BCS conference team", and they expect to be in the mix because of that. The nation, media and everyone else holds Boise to a lower standard because they are "one of the little guys in a small conference".
According to Herbstreit, "Boise has proven they can play with and beat the big boys".
Yeah, well, so can LSU, Bama, etc..... Boise literally plays two good teams every year: 1) at the beginning of the season (with a month + to prepare) and 2) at the end of the season (with a month + to prepare). I'm beating a dead horse here, but there is little to no chance Boise goes undefeated if they had to play Oregon, West Virginia, Florida,Bama, Auburn, Arkansas or Oklahoma, Texas, Oklahoma State, Texas A&M.
Oklahoma, LSU, Bama, Okla State, etc... beat teams on Boise's schedule by 30+ points every year. It's sad that the coaches and the media act like they are some sort of beastly team that is elite.

Re: Week 8 BCS Standings
I agree with Civil. Besides, I'm tired of people not being able to shut up about BSU, especially around here. As long as Oregon stays top 10 in BCS ranking, I'm alright.

When can I escape? When can I swim to the moon?
