    Enforcer nerf being tested in Beta

    TF2 Beta Update History - Steam Users' Forums

    --- January 27, 2012 ---

    General:
    • Heavy
      • Tomislav
        • Removed spin-up buff
        • Removed health penalty
      • Sandvich
        • The heavy no longer gains health from a Sanvich they drop; It re-fills their Sanvich ammo instead.
    • Spy
      • Enforcer stats changed to:
        • 0.5 increased decloak time
        • Unable to see enemy health
    • Sync'd with recent changes from Team Fortress 2


    About, damn, time


    Hope to see this implemented asap


    Oh, and there's a Sandvich nerf as well, where Heavies cannot heal from their own dropped sandviches.

    Heavies healing from their own Sandviches was dumb anyway, this is way better and you can still heal the medic.

    Somewhere there is a TF2 beta discussion topic, but its buried by now.

    Watch then the decloack time still doesn't effect the Dead Ringer.

    So can I ask why the not seeing enemy health matters when you have a 1 hit kill weapon?

    Well, would you rather stab someone, or finish them when they're low on health instead?


    It's the difference between putting yourself at risk, or taking a shortcut and getting out alive. It's one of the more important abilities of Spy, at least imo.

    Decloak affects all watches, but time taken to cloak does not affect DR.

    Haha, asides from the slight exaggeration, I pretty much agree with this. I'd be interested in seeing a delayed firing rate as potential nerf too, like the Ambassador has.

    The Sandvich nerf is interesting, and it sounds pretty reasonable to me.

    I'm still waiting on the Phlogistinator (aka new pre-nerfed Backburner) nerf though. :<

    Meh, without airblast pyro is still useless. It is no where near as good as pre-nerf backburner because airblast has gotten 3 substantial buffs (Mini crits, reduced ammo cost, increased rate) since then, so you are losing much more from not having airblast then you would be then. Plus when the backburner was really OP: there was no fire fall off damage, it gave you 50 health, and the back crits would trigger much more frequently then they do now.

    Once people learned to save their ammo until after the taunt, they just get blown to all hell by demos and soldiers. Pyro stands still to taunt, put two stickies next to him, as soon as the damage reduction is gone, boom. Once soldiers notice the pyro can't airblast, rockets straight to the face keep them from even getting close. Plus they can't push away ubers, which is not credit to team.

    While that's all true, you have to admit, a Ubered Philog Pyro is absurdly powerful.
