And that's why it is a VERY good idea to verify your steam email.

I got the same message and so did everyone on Dynasty's friend's list. He was infact hacked. I let his brother know and dynasty has recovered his account and don't think nothin too serious happened to him.

Like Hocus said though, if one of your friends ever starts out with a message that advertises some kind of event with a webpage don't click it until you know for sure it's them. Another tip that your friend might of got jacked is if you view their profile is their profile is blocked and it's normally not.

Fuck phishers, that's what I say

Why should I verify my email address?

Verifying your email address with Steam improves the security of your Steam Account. Once you've verified your email address with Steam, both your Steam Account password and access to your email account are required in order to make any changes to your Steam Account credentials, such as your password, secret question and answer, and contact email address. This helps further protect your Steam Account from being stolen by a potential phisher.

How do I verify my email address?

Verifying your email address with Steam is a simple process:

    1. Right-click on the Steam icon in the System Tray and select Settings or press the Settings button in Steam's File menu.
    2. Click the Verify email address button.
    3. Follow the on-screen instructions.
    4. You should then receive an email message from Steam Support.
    5. Click the unique link provided in this email message to finish verifying your email address. The web page which then launches will confirm your success.

    https://support.steampowered.com/kb_...5151-RUAS-1543

Seriously, all of you should do this.
Yes I'm going to say this every single time that someone gets phished.
