Happens to me sometimes too. Assuming you can get them to open for you (which I've always been able to see my own), what I do is right click on the picture and choose copy. Need to do one at a time. Then I delete the original and paste the copy. Once it is in place double click the picture and you will get an option window. Choose large on the options and it should work correctly. Pain in the ass but I haven't figured out what causes the problem yet.
