Reservist Procedures and Instructions
***IF YOU'RE ALREADY AN "APPROVED RESERVIST" YOU DON'T NEED TO REQUEST AGAIN. JUST GO SIGN UP USING THE MENU LINKS***
TeamPlayerGaming.com has grown in such popularity, and has developed such a loyal following that frequently, the servers are full every day, for hours at a time.
This is great for the community, and a show of how well we run our servers. However, it also means that our biggest regulars and dedicated teamplayers are not able to connect, forced to wait in line, and/or kicked when admins join.
We wish to remedy this situation in ways to benefit both the server and the regular player population. TPG is now offering paid reserve slots for many of our game servers. A reserved slot costs $5.00 per month, per game*. If you wish to have a reserved slot for more than one game, such as one for DOD:S and another for BF4, they must be purchased independently for $5.00 each.
* Since we have witnessed times where the game servers are "full" of reservists, meaning no one can connect, including admins, reservists, or regular players, we have created Top5 and/or 24/7 instances of our primary game servers. These are essentially overflow servers for those who can't get in the primary servers. If you purchase a reserved slot for the primary instance, it will automatically apply to the Top5 and/or 24/7 instances of the same game. This is to ensure that when you want to play, a server is ready for you to do so.
Reserved slots greatly help the server by contributing to the bottom line, reducing the burden on those responsible for paying the bills, and motivating us to keep all our game servers as up to date, as stable, and as fully featured as possible. This helps the player population obviously by guaranteeing they no longer need to wait in line, or fear being auto-kicked during high traffic periods; but mostly, it provides a greater sense of belonging and respect.
By being granted a reserved slot, the server is saying, "You are a team player. You are welcome here." Not only are you welcome, but the server is even willing to let you cut to the front of the line, and even cause non-reserve players to be auto-kicked when you connect (as is done by the reserved system, and previously only when admins connected). This is a huge compliment, and commitment by both the server and reserved player. Being a reserved player means you are an example of how the game is meant to be played. We want to play with you, and you want to play with us. Plain and simple.
There are a few simple rules/guidelines to be allowed a reserved slot:
#1. Reserved slots are given only after approved by the admin population of the server you wish to purchase a slot on. Our methods of accepting or denying your request are private and will not be disclosed.
#2. Reserved slots do not grant you immunity to embarrass the server, or break any rules. In fact, being a reservist raises the bar for your standards of teamplay and server etiquette. Approval would not have been granted if the admins felt you were a threat; however, everything is taken on a case by case basis. Should the admins feel, at any time, that you are abusing your reserved status, it will be revoked, and NO REFUNDS will be given. Offenses resulting in your reserved slot being removed include: hacking, abusive conduct, insubordination towards the authority of the server, or undermining the ideals and principles of teamplay. Of course, similar to the banned forum, should you wish to appeal your slot revocation, methods are always available to civilly explain yourself, and allow the admins to respond in kind.
#3. TPG tags are now allowed. There is no such thing as a TPG clan, however you may now wear [TPG] as a tag if you so desire to identify you as a member of the TPG community. Any member in good standing is welcome to wear these tags.
The process for obtaining a reserved slot is as follows:
#1.
Create a new topic for your request in our newly created TeamPlayer Reservists | Reservist Requests. Threads created for requesting slots will only be allowed to contain posts from the requester and the responding admin. Though these forums are public, all other posts/subjects in the reservist forums will be deleted.
In your request topic, you must provide the following items:
A. Your full game-name(s), playerID/steamID, and links to your stat histories on any TPG server you play on, or in a global stat tracking program. Search your history in our stats databases for our Source game servers, or through the BF4 Ranked EA stats systems. Links for these are in the main menu. Find yourself, and then provide a link to your stats in your request post. You must also complete your stat links in YOUR TPG PROFILE, LINKED AT THE TOP OF THE WEBSITE. Find your stats info from the relevant stat tracking sites (EA, GameMe, etc), save the necessary ID's in your TPG profile. We will also require this same information when you sign up for your slot. It is IMPERATIVE that you have the EXACT INFO about your player name or ID. Your steamID or game name are the means in which the server is going to identify you as a reservist. If it is not exactly correct, you will not be recognized. This is YOUR RESPONSIBILITY.
B. A written statement that you accept the rules of the server, as well as the raised standards of being a reserved slot player. Check the game server rule stickies to make sure you understand our requirements.
C. Specify the game server you would like to purchase a reserved slot on and the term you intend to sign up for (3, 6 or 12 months, etc). This is only for our records, so that we can gauge how long you plan on being a reservist. The system will renew your slot every month for you, until you tell Paypal to cancel it. It is YOUR RESPONSIBILITY to "turn off" your slot by cancelling your PayPal subscription.
D. A written statement that you understand the cost of $5.00 per month and that no refunds can be given once your money has been received and your slot is activated. Obtaining a reserved slot is considered a donation, so please read the TPG donation rules and information.
Falsification of, or failure to provide any of the above information, including names and ID's you are associated with, will result in automatic denial and/or revocation of your reserved slot.
#2.
Edit your TPG profile, and add your relevant game profile info. For source games, please put your STEAM ID into the HlstatsX/GameMe profile box. For BF games, please put your current player name into the correct boxes. OUR RESERVIST SYSTEM READS THESE BOXES, SO IF THEY ARE EMPTY OR WRONG, YOUR SLOT WON'T GO ACTIVE UNTIL THEY ARE FIXED BY YOU!

DO NOT SEND MONEY TO US UNTIL YOUR RESERVED SLOT IS APPROVED. ALL MONEY SENT WITHOUT APPROVAL CAN AND MAY BE DENIED, AND ANY ASSOCIATED FEES WILL BE ABSORBED BY THE SENDER.

Re: Reservist Procedures and Instructions
Modified to clarify that reserved slots are sold on a per-server basis, defined as an individual game instance/IP address.
This means, if you wish to purchase a reserved slot for example in CS:S, you will need to specifiy which server it will be on: Primary, Gun-Game, or Top5.
All current reservists, as of 9/17/07, are grandfathered into having their slots apply as they do now, which may or may not include multiple "servers" of the same game type (i.e. BF2 and BF2:PR).
** now outdated due to the primary/top5 multiple server slots.Last edited by Bunni; 06-05-12 at 02:04 PM. Reason: Slots are now purchased per game

Take the time to do it right. You will not be approved for a reserved slot until they are.

Re: Reservist Procedures and Instructions
updated to reflect that 24/7 servers are the same as top5 servers, in terms of if you buy a slot for a server, you get the slot on all of the instances playing that game (for example, CSS, CSS Top5, and CSS 24/7)

Re: Reservist Procedures and Instructions
since the question comes up a lot, remember, to cancel/end your slot/subscription, you do that in paypal.
https://www.paypal.com/helpcenter/ma...lutionId=11750
How do I cancel a subscription?
Canceling a subscription cancels all future scheduled payments of that subscription. A subscription can be canceled up to the day of the next scheduled payment.
Log in to your PayPal account.
Click the My Account tab.
Click the History subtab.
Click More filters, select Subscriptions and agreements, and then click Subscriptions.
Change the date back to the year the subscription was created, and then click Show.
Click Details next to the subscription.
Click Cancel Subscription.
